*T/N: I'm not familiar with "old" Japanese language, so pardon any mistakes. Also, Souma speaks weirdly and politely because that's how he speaks in the game.
*T/N: Shout out to everyone who pointed out errors: Chahayaa
Kanata: Bubble, bubble...... ♪
Souma: Captain-dono~! Excuse me!
Kanata: Souma. Improve your "conduct" a bit more.
Kanata: Flattened "boxes" and other stuff are falling apart like "clatter, clatter". They're scattered everywhere, though I'm also "at fault".
Souma: Ohhhh, I'm deeply apologetic! Accept my seppuku as retribution!
Kanata: Um, it isn't that much of a "sin"?
Souma: Hm? You will forgive me? I am saved by Captain-dono's generosity! This Kanzaki Souma is deeply impressed...... ☆
Kanata: Souma, that's a light "threat".
Souma: What? Putting that aside! As promised, let's go eliminate the "random attacker"!
Kanata: Yes, yes....... For now, I will do as "promised".
Kanata: I'll also do what I can to "assist" you. As "thanks" of sorts for letting me stay over at your "home".
Souma: No, no, please don't mind about that! Rather, weren't you displeased by my parent's noisiness?
Kanata: Fufufu. Absolutely not, if I were Souma's "parent's" position......
Kanata: Suddenly coming in, I wasn't "thinking straight" either.
Kanata: But the "sleepover" was fun. Next time, let's invite Kaoru and as the "Marine Life Club", go camping ♪
Souma: M~mm, even if you invite him, I don't think he would come.
Souma: "Sleeping under a roof with a man is impossible~, how disgusting~", is how I think he would react.
Kanata: Fufu. He's like that, but Kaoru is actually a "lonely person", you know?
Kanata: Moving on. We accidentally started lightheartedly "chatting", but...... I just remembered today "Ryuuseitai" has a "lesson".
Kanata: I'll be showing my "face" here today, so I'll be taking a "break" today~....... Can I go tell that to Chiaki?
Souma: Hmm? It isn't something that requires you to not attend "lessons". After all, we weren't asked to eliminate the "slasher" by anyone. It's just a personal whim.
Souma: I think you should ignore me and focus on your practice. In Yumenosaki Academy, you should always prioritize idol activities, correct?
Souma: Besides, right now there's barely any clues regarding the "slasher".
Souma: Even if I bring Captain-dono along for the whole day, there's a possibility... that we might get no results.
Souma: In that case, it would be more worthwhile for you to attend the "Ryuuseitai lessons". It's a realistic decision, Captain-dono.
Kanata: Mm~....... "Ryuuseitai", I still don't really "fit in" there.
Kanata: Putting Chiaki aside, I "don't know" how to get along with the "children".
Souma: Hahaha. You're surprisingly shy, Captain-dono. It'll be alright, Captain-dono is a respectable, great senpai! I guarantee that! ♪
Souma: If you approach them with all of your heart, you will surely get used to "Ryuuseitai". I recently sometimes talk to that ninja, and......
Souma: He's a reserved, good-natured kid.
Kanata: Ninja?
Souma: "Ryuuseitai's" Sengoku. I sometimes meet him at the "Garden Terrace". We talk while eating together.
Souma: He has a lot of wisdom in strange areas and can get really excited.
Souma: When I told him about the Kanzaki family's history, his eyes sparkled while listening....... He's quite a cute kouhai.
Kanata: Hm, Kanzaki....... Souma, you're a part of "Genji"*, right.
Souma: Genji*? Yes, originally. We are an old family, so our family tree goes incredibly far back.
*T/N: "Genji" is a household name that was bestowed on members of the imperial family that were demoted into "normal" noblility. You may also recognize them as "Minamoto".
Souma: This katana, too, is a reforge of the original that sunk at Dannoura*.
*T/N: "Dannoura" is an area where a battle between the Heike and Genji clans occurred. It's a coastal area and the battle was fought at sea, hence the "sunk" part. According to The Tale of the Heike, a collection of oral stories, the original was kept at Atsuta Shrine and the Kusanagi used at Dannoura was an imitation that was normally used for rituals.
Kanata: Fufu. Then, it could be a "Kusanagi"* sword.
*T/N: Full thing is "Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi". Previous name was "Ama-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi". It's a fictional sword that represents the virtue of valor. So what Kanata's saying is, the sword's origins and it's soon-to-be purpose makes it a sword of valor.
Souma: One of the three Imperial Regalia*? There is such a legend, but Kusanagi...... but I thought the real "Ama-no-Murakumo" was at the Atsuta Shrine?
*T/N: "Imperial Regalia" is the name for three particularly sacred treasures in Japan. These three sacred treasures are a sword (valor), mirror (wisdom), and jewel (benevolence). Nobody's sure of their exact locations up to this day.

Kanata: I wonder....... It was long ago, so we don't really know the "truth".
Kanata: Fufu, in any case....... I will follow Souma's "advice" and show my face at "Ryuuseitai".
Kanata: Perhaps there, I will be able to follow up on the "slasher".
Souma: Hm? You've been speaking like that since yesterday. Do you have an idea on who this "slasher" may be, Captain-dono?
Kanata: Mm~, I'm not "fully certain" though. I just think that "rogue" is the only one who would do such "stupid" things......
Kanata: In the past, he did something similar.
Kanata: If I find out something, I will "contact" you. Please be careful...... Souma.
Kanata: Even if you find the "slasher", don't "come into contact" with them.
Kanata: Getting involved will only bring trouble.
