GAME LOG - APRIL 2017
Apr. 29th, 2017 08:21 pmFrom February till the end of April, I tried out many mobage games, including the following:
- Ensemble Stars
- Kizuna Strikers
- Fate Grand Order
- IDOLISH7
- Band Yarouze!
- A3!
- Tsukino Paradise
After a lot of experimentation, it became clear that my favorite game was Ensemble Stars. The gameplay was boring, sure, but the artwork, characters, and story was brilliant. I wanted - no, needed - to know what happened next. I made friends that also liked the game, paid money for the first time for in-app purchases, and even managed to rank twice for my best boys. Which, for anyone who has played the game knows, is insanely difficult even with a strong team.
Today I did a faux pas and completely decimated my dia attempting to get pajama-clad Ritsu, which I completely regret. I'm so ashamed I can't even upload what I did get on my Twitter. Still, when I look back from where I started two months ago, I realize that I've made incredible progress in a super short amount of time.
Behold, my current collection:

10 5-stars and 29 4-stars, all caught within a span of two months.
Certainly not as impressive as others who have a bunch more money and time to spare, but not so bad either. I'm particularly proud of my Valkyrie cards, since they're my favorite group in the game. Still hoping to grab the gacha 5-star Mika. He's my best boy, though Shu's right there by his side as he should be.
Thanks to my complete failure at rolling pajama Ritsu, I've got little dia left. The two year anniversary gifts should boost it up by a lot more, but I'm going to refrain from ranking or rolling story gachas unless Valkyrie or 2wink (specifically Hinata) are appearing.
I have a lot to say about the other games too, but to be honest, I've quit most of them. Ensemble Stars is my life now.
I am still translating the light novels, but it'll take time. What's on this blog right now is an extremely rough copy. I'm completely rewriting the draft in order to make everything sound more natural, like the translation you'd find in Yakuza Zero. (Which, by the way, is a smashing awesome game. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.)
For now, all I can say is: Happy 2nd Anniversary, Ensemble Stars!
(Such a beautiful picture. Where is the full wallpaper so I can splash it on my desktop?)
Also, next month will probably have some talk on IDOLISH7 Part 3 story as well. There's angst, pain, and screaming. For sure.
I'm just gonna say it now: Hey, Kujou-san. FUCK YOU.
See you next month.
